Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors are polarized non-volatile capacitors. They are capacitors that contain a tantalum metal electrode, either in the form of sintered anode or a wire anode, and a semiconductive, oxide dielectric layer. Unless otherwise specified, the oxide used is manganese oxide, which is why they are sometimes known as tantalum-manganese. The primary advantage of tantalum capacitors, compared to other types of capacitors, is their higher volumetric efficiency.

M39003/01-2781 Application Field and Working Principle

M39003/01-2781 is a widely-used type of tantalum capacitors, which has a broad application field due to its excellent static and dynamic characteristics. This type of capacitor consists of an anode made of barred tantalum, and a cathode made of tantalum oxide semiconductor.
