Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors, also known as surface mount chip capacitors, are handy and reliable electrochemical components in which tantalum anodes are etched into the board and welding, with electrolytic M39003/01-3189/HSD protected from environmental oxidation. Working Principle of M39003/01-3189/HSD Capacitors

M39003/01-3189/HSD tantalum capacitors mainly use tantalum pentoxide which has a high dielectric constant and excellent stability to make the anode. The basic principle is to form a capacitor by aluminum foil which has undergone electrolytic deposition, formed an oxide film, and conductive coating. At the end that connects the anode, a dielectric powder which is composed of a mixture of tantalum oxide and manganese dioxide powder is applied. The layer of dielectric creates a separation between the electrodes which prevents a short circuit and makes the capacitor operational. At the cathode end, a manganese dioxide or polymer electrolyte is mixed with an electrolyte and the mixture is sintered at high temperature to form an oxide barrier layer which acts as the cathode for the capacitor. When electrical signals passes though, the oxide barrier instantly experiences a displacement current and ferroelectric polarization, allowing them to store energy and charge.
