The M39003/01-7049H from Advanced Deposition & Fabrication Technology Inc. (ADFT) is a 50V, two-terminal tantalum capacitor with a 7.5 μF capacitance. This capacitor is available in straight, molded type, and radial leaded version. The M39003/01-7049H provides very high performance with excellent frequency characteristics.This capacitor utilizes an anode of tantalum metal and a cathode made of metalized plastic film. The conductive oxide layer is formed on the tantalum surface that bridges the anode and the cathode. A double layer of tantalum oxide insulation is used to improve the reliability of the capacitor by preventing leakage current.The Working principle of M39003/01-7049H is the same as other Electrolytical Capacitors. When a voltage is applied across its terminals, charge accumulates on the anode which induces a layer of electrons on the anode and a layer of positive ions on the cathode.
