Tantalum capacitors are one of the most popular components used for various electronic applications. They consist of a metal electrode containing two capacitance layers; one is formed from a ceramic or other non-metallic material called the dielectric, and the other from a tantalum electrolytic. Commonly known as tantalum electrolytic capacitors, these components are used in the electronics industry for their high capacitance and excellent stability.
