Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors function similarly to other types of electrolytic capacitors, though with improved properties. They primarily take the form of two plates separated by an insulator. This insulator is a dielectric material, usually constructed using tantalum pentoxide. When an electric current passes through the dielectric the capacitor encounters a DC which then charges the second plate

The M39003/03-3037/TR type of capacitor is a wet tantalum capacitor, composed of two different metals, as opposed to the more common dry/solid tantalum.
