The M39003/03-4036H contains two types of anodes and cathodes. The anode is a porous sintered tantalum anode, and the cathode is a Solid electrolyte Tantalum Cathode (SETC). The cathode is a single solid electrolyte formed from a mixture of salt and tantalum oxide, which are both deposited onto a porous tantalum anode.

The working principle of M39003/03-4036H capacitors is based on Faraday’s Law, which states that the voltage across a capacitor is proportional to the rate of change of the electric field across the capacitor. When a voltage is applied across the capacitor, current will flow through its anode and cathode, building up charges on each plate.
