This causes a reaction at the anode and the metal ions are deposited onto a porous layer of tantalum. As ions are deposited, an electrical charge is generated, and a capacitor is created.

The capacitance of the M39003/09-0243/HSD is between 1000-2000 pF, with a maximum voltage range of 16-25 volts. It also has high capacitance stability over a wide temperature range. It is able to resist high temperatures up to 250°C and can withstand up to 1000 g of mechanical shock. The resistor-capacitor network lamination design of this capacitor, with parallel ceramic capacitors, further increases the capacitance stability at high temperatures.
