Working Principle
The M39003/09-2082B tantalum capacitors are polarized electrolytic capacitors. They are constructed of two metal surfaces, one of which is covered in a tantalum oxide layer. In this case, the top metal surface is the anode and the tantalum oxide layer is the cathode. When a voltage is applied to the capacitor, it creates an electrostatic field across the dielectric, which causes a separation of charges that creates the capacitor\'s capacitance.
