The M39006/25-0230 is a wet tantalum chip capacitor with an SMD (Surface Mount Device) design. The capacitor consists of a tantalum anode and cathode with an electrolyte material sandwiched between the two. The electrolyte serves as the dielectric and acts as a barrier between the anode and cathode to provide the electrical insulation necessary for the capacitor to operate. In the M39006/25-0230 series, the electrodes and electrolyte are encapsulated in a molded case for protection.
