The M3CGK-3460K is a rectangular cable assembly developed by the Moxa Corporation for ThinLAN applications. It combines twisted pair cabling and single mode optics to meet the performance requirements of ThinLAN networks, which use twisted pair cabling up to 1 Gbps. The Moxa M3CGK-3460K is backward compatible with existing Ethernet networks based on Twisted Pair Cabling (CAT-5e and CAT-6) as well as Fiber Optic Cabling (SC, LC, and ST). It is used in a variety of industries and applications, including medical, industrial automation, transportation, and security systems.The Moxa M3CGK-3460K is designed to provide a reliable, cost-effective, and high-capacity networking solution. It has a power density that is 5 times higher than that of regular Cat5e/6 cables, and its total cabling solution is up to 50% smaller than equivalent fiber optic solutions. It is capable of achieving reliable communications up to 10 kilometers over twisted pair cable, and over single mode fiber with a transmission rate of 2.4 Gbps. The M3CGK-3460K is also shielded against noise interference and moisture.The M3CGK-3460K works by using four frequency bands to send signals over two pairs of twisted pair cabling. The cable assembly comes with a single mode fiber optic connectors for long-distance transmission. The four frequency bands used by the M3CGK-3460K are called High Frequency Working Band (HFWB), High Frequency Protection Band (HFPB), Low Frequency Working Band (LFWB), and Low Frequency Protection Band (LFPB).The HFWB carries the high-speed signal for Ethernet connections and is used for data transmission, while the HFPB is used to protect the HFWB against interference from other signals. The HFPB also helps protect the cable from electromagnetic interference. The LFWB and LFPB enable Ethernet connections when the data rate is lower, such as for PoE and CWDM, and they provide protection against interference from other signals as well as protection from electromagnetic interference.The combination of the M3CGK-3460K cable assembly and single mode fiber optics provide a complete solution for ThinLAN networks. It offers a small cabling size, high power density, and long-distance transmission over twisted pair cables and fiber optics. It is also secure, noise-resistant, and resistant to moisture, providing a reliable and cost-effective netwo
