M3WWK-3406R is a standard 3 position rectangular connector, with 1 power and 2 signal contacts. The contacts are manufactured from brass, nickel plated, gold plated, or passivated. This allows for flexibility and helps to ensure reliable communications in different environmental conditions.

The assembly is composed of a hood with integrated cable clips, plug, guide sleeve with 4 screws, and a strain relief grommet. The clips secure the cable to the assembly and also keep dust and moisture away from the contacts and prevent any wicking into the strain relief grommet and insulation jacket on the outside. This enables the assembly to operate safely and remain secure when exposed to continuous vibrations.

The plug has insert with 2 contact pins and a ground contact. The assembly is factory wired, with two signal wires and one power wire. These wires are isolated from each other and also from the housing by a vinyl material. The housing is made from durable thermoplastic material that can withstand temperatures as high as 140°C. The assembly is IP67 rated and UL recognized, making it suitable for use in wet and dusty environments.
