Working Principle
The working principle of the M80-5404222 is relatively simple. Its 24 contacts are arranged onto two rows of 12, with four terminals for each contact, each of which features quick connection and support the safe dismantling of the connection. The contacts are made of brass, nickel-plated, to ensure excellent electrical connection. The four terminals for each contact features crown flat contacting areas and solder tails for easy soldering.
Furthermore, the connector features an IP67 protection rating when mated, to protect it from water and dust ingress. The cable has 24 interchangeable AVF contacts which are protected by a two-piece metal shell that snaps together to provide a secure lock. Furthermore, this metal casing also provides mechanical and environmental protection.
