Working Principle

The angular position is then calculated by means of the Hall effect signals, and a high-resolution 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for absolute angular position up to ±10°.

The MA302GQ-P also incorporates a pre-calibrated magnetic strip for detecting linear position. This magnetic strip and the two 2D Hall sensors are used to accurately measure and calculate linear movement within the operating range up to ±2.5 m. The linear movement is also calculated by the ADC which is capable of measuring absolute linear position up to ±2.5 m. The resolution of the linear position measurement is 0.1 mm.
