Introduction
RF mixers, also referred to as RF converter, are key components enabling efficient signal distribution and transmission. An RF mixer is an active device which receives two signals of different frequencies, combines them and generates an output signal at the difference of two input frequencies. Finally, the LO signal is subtracted from the IF signal, and the result is the output signal from the MAMXSS mixer. It is the difference between the RF input signal and the LO signal that gives the MAMXSS mixer its unique blend of frequency modulation and amplitude modulation.
