MAX20075ATCC/V+T is a DC to DC switching regulator from Maxim Integrated and is part of their MAX20075A step-down, synchronous-buck controller family. It is designed for use in applications where high current, high efficiency and very low EMI are needed. It is suitable for a wide range of applications such as telecom, industrial, and power management.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T is a highly integrated solution that provides maximum power efficiency, preemptive ring-fault prevention, and tight output voltage accuracy. It includes a current-mode buck controller, optimized MOSFET drivers, and integrated power depth-FETs that enable high-load-step response. It also includes a flexible adjustable voltage folding feature and provides advanced protection features.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T is a flexible, cost effective solution that provides a high level of integration and efficiency through the use of synchronous rectification and current fringing technology. It features a wide range of output voltage range (1.8V-14V), operation frequency up to 1.5MHz and a low RDS(on). It provides regulated output voltage from 2.5V to 12V, making it ideal for a variety of applications. It also supports a variety of low-voltage, high-current output applications.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T features advanced features and protection features, including over-temperature protection, under-voltage lockout, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, and power-good indication with advanced fault handling. This provides the system designer with the assurance that the device will remain safe and reliable during operation.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T operates in 3 different modes. The first mode is the Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) where the maximum output current is limited by the inductor current. The second mode is the Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) where the load current is below the critical current. In the third mode, Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM), the critical current is above the inductor current and the device is forced to operate in CCM at all times even when the load current is below the critical current. The MAX20075ATCC/V+T uses a switching frequency which is adjustable from 200kHz to 1.5MHz, and synchronized to an external clock. The wide range switched frequency allows for fine tuning and optimization of power efficiency, line and load regulation, as well as EMI for a given application.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T also features adaptive dead-time optimizer which enables fast transient response and uses an innovative waveform distortion filter that reduces output voltage overshoot and undershoot, providing excellent line and load regulations. Additionally, the dead time can be optimized to minimize losses, improve efficiency and improve the load-step response.In summary, the MAX20075ATCC/V+T is a highly integrated, cost effective solution for low voltage, high current, DC to DC switching regulator applications. It provides high power efficiency, excellent line and load regulation, fast transient response, low EMI and a high level of integration.
