The first mode is the Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) where the maximum output current is limited by the inductor current. The second mode is the Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) where the load current is below the critical current. In the third mode, Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM), the critical current is above the inductor current and the device is forced to operate in CCM at all times even when the load current is below the critical current. The MAX20075ATCC/V+T uses a switching frequency which is adjustable from 200kHz to 1.5MHz, and synchronized to an external clock. The wide range switched frequency allows for fine tuning and optimization of power efficiency, line and load regulation, as well as EMI for a given application.The MAX20075ATCC/V+T also features adaptive dead-time optimizer which enables fast transient response and uses an innovative waveform distortion filter that reduces output voltage overshoot and undershoot, providing excellent line and load regulations.
