The MAX4243EUB-T is a single-supply, precision, low-power, low-noise, true instrumentation amplifier (IA) in an 8-pin, 3 mm × 3 mm TDFN package. The device is designed for bridge measurements over a ±10000 g range with low offset and drift over the entire operating temperature range of –40°C to 125°C. It offers programmable gain up to 224 that is set by an external resistive divider network. The power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 70 dBV allows a common-mode voltage (Vcm) range of 0 V to 0.6 V above the positive supply, and 0 V to 0.7 V below the negative supply.
The MAX4243EUB-T achieves a low-noise level of 130 nV∕√Hz, enabling high-performance accelerometers to achieve greater than 0.1 Hz resolution. The low noise and thermally stable gain and offset makes the device ideal for low frequency signal processing. Its low-power operation, 10-μA maximum current consumption, and low quiescent current make the device suitable for battery-powered applications. The device also features full protection from overvoltage and undershoot conditions, making it suitable for high-voltage bridge instrumentation.

Working Principle
The MAX4243EUB-T is a single-supply instrumentation amplifier optimized for precision performance in low-frequency signal-sampling applications. The device is built on an architecture composed of two matched, high-performance transistors (Q1 and Q2) arranged as a differential amplifier (Miller op amp) followed by a differential-input stage (inverting op amp). These two stages form the main core of the device.
The differential-input stage provides a gain of about 1. This input stage can be connected to a bridge of four resistors, or it can be used in single-ended applications. The amplifier’s input- and output-level scaling is accomplished via the use of external resistors, thereby allowing programmable gain up to 224. The signal output is capacitively coupled by an off-chip capacitor C1 andan internal compensation capacitor C2. The DC level of the signal is further controlled by external resistors R1 and R2.
The MAX4243EUB-T features low noise and low power, which make it an ideal choice for precision low-frequency signal-sampling applications. With a PSRR of 70 dBV and a low-current consumption of 10 μA, the device is suitable for battery-powered applications. The MAX4243EUB-T also provides protection from undershoot and overshoot conditions, making it suitable for high-voltage bridge instrumentation.
