MAX4764AEUB+ is a quad CMOS analog switch, it supports a wide range of single and dual supplies from 1.65V to 5.5V. This CMOS switch is SOIC-8 package form, which is available for all the industrial and market applications.

Working Principle:

MAX4764AEUB+ is comprised of 8 CMOS switches, which are controlled by two control pins - EN and EN2. If EN and EN2 both take low level, all four analog switches will be turned off, so that the output signals of data, power and signal are disconnected from the input signals. Although EN1 and EN2 do not directly control the analog switch, it can still influence the on state resistance and the off state leakage current. If EN and EN2 is low level, the two control pins can be used to each control two of the analog switches, and if EN and EN2 is well set up (high level), all 4 switches will be opened simultaneously.

When MAX4764AEUB+ is in the on state, the turn on resistance is low and the turn off resistance is high. As the ON resistance is shown in the ON resistance to ON charge ratio, the ON resistance of the MAX4764AEUB+ is far lower than other analog switches. Also, the turn off resistance of the MAX4764AEUB+ is further improved. Under very low current and low voltage, the turn off resistance can be improved to 7 ohms, which is much lower than that of a standard CMOS switch.

When MAX4764AEUB+ is in the off state, the leakage current is very low, and the low OFF leakage currents are supported in a wide range of supply voltages (1.65V to 5.5V). This feature can enable applications in portable instruments, electronic toys and other low power equipment.
