Working Principle

The working principle of the MAX544ACPA DAC is similar to any other DAC. The device produces an analog signal using a digital input. On the digital side, it takes 8-bit Parallel Data loaded into the shift register. On the analog side, it produces a differential output that is generated internally from a series of low-power MOSFET switches and capacitors. The analog output is then generated by trading off the timing of the switches, which allow the impedance to change at the output.
