Under the IEEE 802.3af-2003, IEEE 802.3at-2009 and IEEE 802.3bt-2018 standards, the MAX5945EAX+T supports up to 30 watt are permissible for a loaded port and up to 60 watt for a loaded port, with the MAX5945EAX+T offering the flexibility to configure for either of these standards. The MAX5945EAX+T contains an internal EEPROM with user-programmable settings, allowing users to configure the output voltage, current limit and output power based on their requirements. The internal EEPROM also allows the MAX5945EAX+T to detect the type of PoE load and respond accordingly, making the MAX5945EAX+T compatible with IEEE 802.3af-2003, IEEE 802.3at-2009 and IEEE 802.3bt-2018 PoE standards.
The MAX5945EAX+T also comes with a wide variety of other features and protection mechanisms, such as a wide input voltage range, overload protection, over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection and short circuit protection to ensure reliable and safe operation.
