This voltage reference provides good accuracy, low quiescent current, and low temperature coefficient. Applications and Working Principle
MAX6070BAUT18+T voltage reference devices are primarily used in portable and low-power applications. These applications include battery powered devices, such as cell phones, pagers, PDAs, radios, and MP3 players. The working principle of the MAX6070BAUT18+T is essentially a current mirror circuit, where a reference current is mirrored across a load resistance. The load resistance is a string of resistors connected to the output pin and the voltage setting pin. The voltage setting pin is connected to a reference voltage, typically 1.8V or 2.5V, and then to the output. The current mirror circuit is maintained by a low-power, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator, which supplies a regulated reference voltage.
