The MAX6190CESA is a voltage regulator, controller and supervisor IC. This advanced member of Maxim\'s MAX6190 family of voltage supervisors provides superior transient protection, sinking current source capability and improved programming accuracy. It features patent-pending constant current-limit sequencing to help protect downstream devices during start-up and over-current events.The MAX6190CESA provides integrated voltage regulation and system level control. The on-chip debugger provides real-time monitoring of supply voltages, input voltages and on-chip reference voltage. It also includes system level diagnostic and calibration functions. Factory-stored registers are used to implement system wide settings.The MAX6190CESA provides over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current protection. The user can select the desired under-voltage detection voltage, as well as the desired over-voltage supervision voltage to maximize system level reliability. The over-current threshold may be programmed on-chip or by using a dummy resistor in the external control loop.The MAX6190CESA voltage reference provides a stable, programmable voltage reference. It ensures the highest accuracy and stability, even when the system is operating in harsh environmental conditions. The reference accuracy is ±0.5%. The device is designed to provide a constant voltage independent of load current or temperature variations.The MAX6190CESA voltage reference is integrated with a flexible power stage that includes tracking, ramping and soft-start functions. Built-in current-sense amplifiers accurately monitor load current. The MAX6190CESA can drive power MOSFETs or LDOs directly. It also includes a fast startup circuit with improved performance and safety features.The MAX6190CESA offers a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It is available in a 28-pin TQFN package and provides excellent board space savings. The MAX6190CESA supports up to three independent channels and can be configured as a single-channel device.
