MAX6655EVSYS is a kind of low-cost, low-power global positioning system (GPS) board specifically designed for evaluation and demonstration of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) applications and events. The board consists of two main components: an onboard MAX6655 transceiver and an external antenna. The board also contains two DS2482 I/O extenders for connectivity to analog, digital, and other sensors, as well as providing a home for real-time GPS applications.

The MAX6655EVSYS evaluation board use a low-power, all-in-one GPS/GNSS receiver solution with integrated signal acquisition, baseband processing, and antenna functions that allows users to develop a complete GPS-enabled product, using only one board. Built-in features include support for multiple navigation algorithms, multiple GNSS signals, Direction Finding (DF), and Inertial Navigation System (INS) support. Additionally, the board supports up to four concurrent navigation algorithms and can provide up to 20 meters accuracy in all environments.
