The MAX6683EVSYS is an evaluation board system from Maxim Integrated that is used to evaluate various temperature, voltage, and current sensors. This evaluation board system contains an evaluation board, USB cable, and a set of cables and jumper blocks. This evaluation board system is used in applications such as temperature sensing, current sensing, and voltage sensing.The MAX6683EVSYS is based on the MAX6683 temperature sensor, voltage and current sensing module, and the MAX6682 sensor interface. This evaluation board system can measure various temperature, voltage, and current values simultaneously, with precision on a 16-bit resolution. The board is also capable of providing a wide range of temperature thresholds and alarms for automatic system monitoring.The MAX6683EVSYS evaluation board system has two main components: the MAX6683 temperature and voltage/current sensing module, and the MAX6682 sensor interface. The MAX6683 temperature and voltage/current sensing module is a thermistor-based temperature sensor with a maximum input voltage of 5V and an accurate temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It has an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 16V and an output resolution of 16 bits. The MAX6683 also features an adjustable threshold that can be set up to one tenth resolution and is compliant with the I2C serial bus.The MAX6682 sensor interface provides the necessary communication protocols and analog/digital conversion capabilities necessary for the evaluation of the MAX6683 temperature and voltage/current sensing module. This system is capable of accepting up to 32 bytes of data at a time, and can provide data in both digital and analog formats. The MAX6682 is equipped with an on-board voltage regulator, 8-bit and 16-bit digital to analog converters, a voltage reference, and a watchdog timer. The MAX6683EVSYS evaluation board system is also equipped with graphical user interface (GUI) software, which can be used to easily monitor and display the acquired sensor values. This GUI software also allows for user-defined configuration settings which include temperature and voltage levels, as well as calibration and gain settings. The data is transmitted via the USB cable and is filtered and processed for display purposes.The MAX6683EVSYS evaluation board system is an invaluable tool for designers looking to evaluate temperature, voltage, and current sensors in a variety of applications.
