The MAX6776XKB+T is a battery management system (BMS) specifically designed for lithium polymer battery packs, providing cell-balancing, over-voltage and under-voltage protection, and over-temperature and over-current protection. The digital module contains a fast 24-bit ADC, pre-programmed detection thresholds, a digital signal processor (DSP), and a flexible collection of configurable features.
The MAX6776XKB+T BMS is able to detect abnormal cell-voltages, over-charge, short-circuit, over-temperature and over-current conditions. The BMS notifies the system in the event of an over-voltage or under-voltage condition, as well as an over-temperature condition in any of the cells. The MAX6776XKB+T BMS can automatically adjust the cell-balancing current and maintain tight control of the cell-balancing accuracy. Its 4-cell to 12-cell voltage ADC features a 24-bit resolution and low power consumption.
