Working Principle:
The MAX816ESA+ works on the principle of monitoring, controlling and maintaining the power conditions of an electronic system. The MAX816ESA+ is designed to operate under extreme temperature and voltage conditions, from -40 degrees Celsius up to +85 degrees Celsius, and from 1.2V up to 5.5V. It also offers exceptional input current protection of up to 36V, and is programmed to detect current and voltage limit as well as an overtemperature condition. The MAX816ESA+ has a lightning fast reaction time, reliable thermal protection and an impressive maximum operating time of 20 years.
The MAX816ESA+ includes a wide variety of features such as adjustable soft-start time and power-on reset time, enable input, reset output, power-good output, and voltage and current limit detection. In addition, the MAX816ESA+ also supports many additional power management functions such as output voltage and temperature monitoring, output voltage scaling, and a programmable delay for power-down inrush current protection.
The MAX816ESA+ is designed for low-power applications and offers flexibility, accuracy and robustness, with an extended operating temperature range and an impressive range of operating voltages.
