Introduction to MAX818MCPA+

The MAX818MCPA+ is ultra-low power stable voltage supervisor designed by Maxim Integrated. It is promoted as an ideal solution for CPU VCC, PCMCIA and PC Card high-voltage supply systems. Working Principle

The MAX818MCPA+ uses a proprietary under voltage lockout (UVLO) technology and maintains the CPU VCC supply in its nominal state. It basically senses the input voltage and compares it to the output voltage - when both are the same, the reset circuit is triggered and the reset line is actively pulled low. If the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the reset line is released.

The MAX818MCPA+ also has other features such as non-overlapping reset with power-on reset and an enable/disable input. The reset delay can also be adjusted to accommodate different time demands.
