The MAX8211CSA+ is a low-power supervisor from Maxim Integrated\'s Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) group. It offers an accurate, low current, low-voltage supervisor for system-on-chip (SoC) and microprocessor (MPU) applications. It includes a precision on-chip voltage reference for accurate threshold detection and temperature-compensated reset timing. In addition, the device automatically compensates for process, voltage, and temperature variations to provide improved accuracy over temperature.

The MAX8211CSA+ also offers a power-fail comparator that detects system EMI noise and warns the external ASIC or processor. The power-fail comparator detects the voltage drop across a resistor that is connected in series with the system power supply rail and can be configured to trigger the power-fail signal if the voltage drop exceeds a selectable threshold voltage. The MAX8211CSA+ also provides an additional dedicated power-fail signal, which monitors the power supply rail and provides an early warning of a system-wide power failure.
