The MAX8526EUD+ is an ultra low-power, low-dropout linear voltage regulator ideal for powering ultra low power microprocessors and other peripherals that are sensitive to minimal noise, due to its exceptional PSRR and low noise performance. The device features selectable output voltages from 0.8 to 6.0V, an adjustable output voltage from 0.7V to 6.0V, and an adjustable current limiter. The maximum enabled current for an enabled output is up to 150mA.

The MAX8526EUD+ is designed to reduce power consumption in low-voltage microprocessor-based applications that require a large amount of current, such as digital home appliances, cellular handsets, digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players, and other portable consumer electronics.

The device has an internal power retention switch that turns on/off the enable/disable pin when the device is in shutdown or power down.
