Working Principle
The MAX883CSA+ is an adjustable linear regulator that uses an internal NPN power transistor as the pass device. The operating output is set by an external voltage divider connected across the device. The internal NPN transistor operates in a linearregion and acts as a variable resistor.
The MAX883CSA+ has four available pins, two for input power, one for ground and one for output. The output pin outputs the voltage regulated according to the voltage divider.
