Computer vision processing and video processing tasks have become increasingly important in the digital age, driving a need for advanced linear video processing applications. The MAX8918ITM+T is a powerful yet cost-efficient multi-channel linear video processor with integrated multi-rate equalizers, motion estimation, and motion compensated Temporal (MCT) filters. This advanced linear video processor is ideally suited for a wide variety of video processing tasks, including forensic video processing, dynamic imaging, video analytics, and very-high-resolution image enlargement. Its main feature is its low power consumption, making it suitable for battery operated portable devices.
The MAX8918ITM+T application field and working principle starts with the power stage. The power management operate in two modes of operation, either active or idle. In active mode, the device consumes power from a battery source, converting the power to regulated output power for the various subsystems. In idle mode, the device is powered by a low-power standby power source, allowing the device to enter an ultra-low power state while still being able to maintain communication links. The chipsets include several power management features such as voltage scaling, power gating, and clock gating.
