The MAX9017AEKA-T comparator is part of Maxim Integrated\'s family of linear-comparators. It is used for low power logic-level converters, as well as for threshold detection and general circuit applications. The device is capable of producing output signals with excellent delay times, high accuracy and low power consumption. The MAX9017AEKA-T is a CMOS low-power, dual or single-ended comparator is designed to consume only 850μA (typically) of supply current. It features a fast response time of 7ns, an internal differential voltage range of ±2.5V, and an input bias current of 2μA (maximum).

The MAX9017AEKA-T features a programmable hysteresis voltage of 0.5V to 5V and a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It provides an output with excellent sink and source current capability of 6mA and 20mA, respectively, and excellent noise immunity with high common-mode rejection. The device includes an enable pin to enable/disable the hysteresis function as well as a power-on reset/enable control logic for faster system startup. In addition, the MAX9017AEKA-T also offers lower propagation delays to help reduce circuit design time and effort.

The comparator features a CMOS open drain output stage which is ideal for driving power MOSFET/bipolar devices or totem-pole connections. The output voltage is available in two options, non-inverting level (Vdd) or inverting level (Vss). The device also includes a low power enable (LPE) input which keeps the comparator in low power mode even when operating power is applied.

An optional wide supply range (1.8V to 5V) is available for the MAX9017AEKA-T for use in multiple supply applications. The wide voltage range helps to reduce noise and improve system performance. The device also offers excellent tolerance to power supply voltage variations.
