The MAX9123EUE+ is a low-power quad (AC-coupled differential) line receiver optimized for data transmission up to the 3-Gbit/s level. It is a member of the MAX9123 family, and is a modern, highly-efficient solution for line receiver-level applications. An external resistor is used to set the input sensitivity, while four open-drain DMOS outputs are available to accomplish data transfer. Maximum data speed is 3-Gbit/s.

The MAX9123EUE+ is ideal for digital video applications that require low power consumption, such as HDTV, HDMI, and digital A/V. This device is also well-suited for fiber optic applications, as it provides excellent return loss performance with minimal differential-pair skew.

The working principle of the MAX9123EUE+ is simple but effective. It consists of four low-power AC-coupled differential line receivers that detect small voltage differences and convert them into a high-speed data signal. Each of the four line receivers consists of a differential amplifier, that acts as a comparator to measure small differences between the input signals.
