MAX919EUK/V+T is a discreet 3 pin(+VCC, Output and -Input) linear-comparator integrated circuit(IC). It consist of a band gap voltage reference, two error-amplifiers and some supporting circuitry. It features very low supply current, low input offset voltage, guaranteed response time and eliminates the need to manually adjust the hysteresis voltage.
The core application field of MAX919EUK/V+T is comparator design. It has the capability to compare input signals with a chosen threshold level and produce corresponding output signals with hysteresis characteristics. Its main function is to switch the output high or low in order to initiate any circuit organization that requires a threshold indication in equipment such as operational amplifiers, digital circuits and timer circuits.
MAX919EUK/V+T is a comparator type IC that provides an output voltage which is either high or low as a result of the comparison of its two input voltages (positive and negative). It does this by comparing the voltages of two resistive networks connected to current sources. The resistors of the resistive networks are of differing values and the voltage across them are compared. The output of the comparator is high when the voltage at its positive input terminal is larger than the voltage at its negative input terminal and vice versa.
Furthermore, MAX919EUK/V+T is able to provide an internal 2.5V bandgap reference and an adjustable shunting voltage reference to provide customer background implementation for the output signal. The internal bandgap reference will serve as a reference voltage for the voltage rules of the comparator which eliminates the need to manually adjust the hysteresis voltage.
The light load current consumption is very low as it generally supports a quiescent current consumption of 10µA in most operating conditions. Also, its temperature operating range is -40°C to +125°C.
