The MAX9201ESE+ is a single, low-power, rail-to-rail comparator with an inverting input and a non-inverting input optimized for low-voltage operation. It belongs to Linear-Comparators family, which are analog comparators used to compare two voltages and output a digital signal based on their relationship.

These comparators are highly popular in applications such as power-supply monitoring, motor control, over-current protection and fault detection. They are also useful in any application that requires switching between two voltage levels and can be used to switch power to two separate systems based on input voltage levels.
