The MAX9217ECM/V+TGB is an example of a serializer/deserializer (SerDes) system, a type of integrated circuit that converts high-speed serial data streams into multiple parallel channels, or vice versa. It is a smart, protocol-agnostic SerDes that can support and switch between multiple standards over a single device. The MAX9217ECM/V+TGB runs off a 3.3V single-ended supply and requires LVCMOS signaling for operation.
