MAX9249EVKIT has been designed to provide a compact platform for evaluation and demonstration for the MAX9249 low-noise amplifier. Utilizing its low-noise amplifier, wideband low-noise amplifier, and wideband filter, MAX9249EVKIT serves an extensive range applications, making it an excellent choice for many different systems.

The MAX9249EVKIT includes a synchronous rectifier circuit which allows for very efficient operation. The onboard regulator is capable of supplying 25mA of current at any supply voltage in the range of 2.5V – 8.3V. Additionally, the kit features an input voltage protection circuit which clips the input voltage at a maximum of 10V. This protection circuit is used to prevent overvoltage damage.
The board also includes a variety of wideband low-noise amplifier applications. The first is designed to provide up to 15dB gain at frequencies up to 6GHz. The second is designed to provide up to 50dB gain at frequencies up to 10GHz. These amplifiers can be used to increase the signal-to-noise ratio of signals with a wide range of center frequencies. Additionally, the MAX9249EVKIT includes a wideband filter which allows the user to select the signal bandwidth they wish to receive.
In addition to the wideband amplifiers and filter, the MAX9249EVKIT also features several other evaluation features. This includes an on-board power detector, a low noise amplifier bias generator, and a voltage source. The power detector is capable of measuring both the voltage and current of the output signal. This can be used to ensure the amplifier is functioning properly. The bias generator is capable of providing up to 10mA of current at any supply voltage in the range of 2.6V – 8.3V. The voltage source can supply voltages from 0V to 10V at up to 500mA. This provides a convenient way to perform tests on the amplifier and filter.
