The MAX9257GCM/V+ can reduce interconnect costs by making use of existing low-cost cables and connectors, as well as reducing board area by eliminating additional signal redrivers or primary/secondary sides, with no signal performance loss due to signal degradation. It is also capable of saving up to 25% of system power by using LVDS input with minimum output current, while providing the same signal performance as conventional high-swing differential fields.

It also comes with a built-in voltage regulator, eliminating the need for an external voltage regulator. In addition, a shielded-module package is available to ensure optimal signal quality.
