Max9270GTN/V+ is a low-noise charge-pump-based dc-dc power-management ICs (PMICs) that offers high-efficiency step-up dc-dc conversion. The applications of Max9270GTN/V+ can extend from powering FPGAs to amplifying analog signals. It is designed to work with a wide voltage range of 2.5 V to 5.5 V. During operation, the output voltage can be adjusted from the specified minimum value (in the low voltage range) to an adjustable maximum value (in the high voltage range). Max9270GTN/V+ is able to draw extremely low power consumption while providing up to 25 mA of output current. The device can draw extremely low power while providing up to 25 mA of output current.The integrated low-noise charge pump is made up of two high-speed switching power stages and a voltage multiplier stage. The two power stages are cascaded to generate the output voltage, with the voltage multiplier stage providing the required input voltage for the two power stages. The voltage-control stage of the device is based on a proprietary noise-reducing architecture, which guarantees a low output noise level.In addition, the device features integrated fault protection functions. Thermal protection circuitry prevents device overheating and overcurrent protection prevents short-circuits.
