The MAX9272COAXEVKIT is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit that provides a means to quickly evaluate the performance of the MAX9272 high-speed triple-output video filter amplifier and to evaluate the performance of your application circuit.The board contains the necessary components to drive an active video filter circuit. Attached cables connect the board to a standard coaxial cable.The MAX9272COAXEVKIT is a suitable solution for application fields that require a high-speed, high-performance active video filter to provide transmission of video signals across standard coaxial cable.

The MAX9272COAXEVKIT is designed to drive an active video filter circuit to help reduce the effects of near-end and far-end noise, attenuation, crosstalk, and other combined effects of the media on the signals. In addition to helping reduce the combined effects of noise, the kit also provides an easy-to-use, high-performance video filter for applications where the signal is subject to long cable lengths, frequent routing changes, and other adverse conditions.

The MAX9272COAXEVKIT can help to reduce signal distortion caused by the cable and its environment. It filters out most of the signal content that is above 10 MHz, while allowing the frequencies below 10 MHz to pass. This is done through the application of a sophisticated digital filter implementation.The kit also contains a digitally-controlled pre-emphasis filter which can alter the response of the filter depending on the application. The pre-emphasis filter provides an open-loop gain of up to 6 dB at 10 MHz, depending on the user settings.

The MAX9272COAXEVKIT also provides two additional analog video outputs, one for PAL/NTSC analog video signals and the other for SMPTE-259M digital video signals. Additionally, the kit also includes a composite sync output with programmable active video input. In addition, the kit includes several utility software functions such as contrast and saturation adjustments, gamma equalization, and chroma adjustment for improved color fidelity.

The MAX9272COAXEVKIT provides a means to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the performance of the MAX9272 high-speed triple-output video filter amplifier. With the addition of the digital pre-emphasis filter and the utility software functions, the MAX9272COAXEVKIT is ideal for applications that require a high-speed, high-performance, flexible video filter solution. The evaluation and demonstration board and kit is a great way to evaluate the performance of the MAX9272, as well as the performance of your application circuit.
