The deserializer accepts a single DV source, performs 8/10/12bits-per-component, 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 colour conversion and outputs two high-speed serial data streams.

The external memory is used to store the LUTs, coefficients, control registers and other miscellaneous control data required by the MAX9276AGTN/V+T. The serializer and deserializer are integrated on-chip and support Link IDs, which can be used to protect against transmission errors. The device features programmable input and output data paths, adjustable clock and data phases, and embedded synchronous clock compensation for better jitter tolerance.
