TheMAX9286COAXEVKITis an evaluation and demonstration kit designed to allow designers and developers to quickly and easily test the performance of MAX9286, a low-power, low-cost 22-bit, 4-channel video decoder. The maximum operating frequency of the chip is 165 MHz and it supports resolutions up to 1080p. The kit comes with everything a user needs to rapidly evaluate and test the benefits of the MAX9286.At the heart of the MAX9286 is the video decoder itself, which is capable of decoding a variety of video formats, including ATSC3, PAL/SECAM 4x, 2x, NTSC4.43, and NTSC-M, among others. The decoder supports multiple aspect ratios, including 4:3, 16:9, and ICtC. The integrated 4-channel signal processing enables smooth scaling of input video sources to output resolutions of 1920x1080 and 1080p.The chip also includes various features that help improve picture quality, such as Dynamic Contrast Adjustment (DCA), Color Space Conversion (CSC) and 3D Video Deinterlacing (3D Deinterlacing) and interpolation.The MAX9286COAXEVKIT includes a development board, various cables and connectors, a wide array of user manuals and application notes, example designs, schematics, layout and simulation files, reference designs, and more. The included development board (EVAL-MAX9286C-COAX-KIT) features two coaxial connectors, one HDMI output port, and a USB micro-B connector to an included USB-to-TTL serial cable for communication with a PC. It also includes a CPLD programming header, which provides users with the ability to alter certain core logic pins to customize the board for specific applications. The board also includes several configurable switches for setting the resolution, color space, frame rate, etc. The MAX9286COAXEVKIT also includes a prototyping header, which allows users to quickly and easily prototype their own custom circuits without the need for additional hardware.
