The MAX9320BEUA+T is a monolithic CMOS clock generator designed for a variety of applications such as clocking microprocessors, digital signal processors (DSPs), peripheral controllers, and other clock-generating integrated circuits. The clock generator is engineered to provide very low noise and stable clock rates. The operating frequency range of the MAX9320BEUA+T clock generator can be extended from 1.2 GHz to 8.8 GHz.

The MAX9320BEUA+T clock generator features an active pull-up path at the output, in addition to an active pull-down path for power savings. This clock generator can be used as a single-ended clock driver, double-ended clock driver, or as a differential clock generator. The power-down feature allows the device to be powered down when not in use to reduce power consumption.

The MAX9320BEUA+T is well-suited to wireless applications since it can be used to generate the frequency hopping (FH) signals used in IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi networks. It can also be used in cordless telephones, digital cameras, and other consumer electronics applications. Additionally, the MAX9320BEUA+T clock generator is suitable for clock synthesis applications such as clocking digital-to-analog converters (DACs) or digital-to-RF converter (DRFs) used in communication systems.
