Working Principle

The MAX9371ESA+T model forbi-directional, level shifting, voltage translation utilities accepts two types of LVDS input signals, such as single-ended LVDS (SELVDS) and differential LVDS. SELVDS is usually used for data-rate up to 800 Mbps and different LVDS used for data rates up to 2.5 Gbps. The device converts the LVDS input voltage levels to logic levels compatible with other logic families such as CMOS or LVCMOS. The output of the level shifting/voltage translation can provide up to five logic levels. Each channel typically provides a swing of 200mVpp at the input and 300mVpp at the output.

The MAX9371ESA+T includes an integrated 240-ohm termination resistor, which helps the device achieve frequency response up to the 2.5 Gbps range. The device also incorporates a low 0.45V undershoot, low 72 mV offsets, and narrow 3.2ns switching times. The MAX9371ESA+T also features up to 35kV ESD protection and a wide operating temperature range from -40¡æC to +85¡æC.
