Working Principle

The MAX9634HEUK+T provides a high input transimpedance bandwidth and transimpedance accuracy for photodiode-based optical systems. Its integrated 30kΩ input circuit amplifies the received optical signal, converting it to a photodiode current and providing an output voltage. This output voltage is sent to a programmable gain amplifier, which provides gain and AC/DC rejection. The MAX9634HEUK+T controls the transimpedance gain of the programmable gain amplifier through an SPI interface. The device is capable of providing the simplest, highest accuracy transimpedance output in the industry and it achieves the highest SNR possible while consuming very low power.
