The MAX9660EVKIT, manufactured by Maxim Integrated, is an evaluation and demonstration board in the family of evaluation and demonstration boards and kits. This board is used for the evaluation of the MAX9660, an adjustable, low-noise, low-IQ and low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator.

The MAX9660EVKIT helps engineers to quickly evaluate the features, adjust the settings, and develop design solutions for their low-voltage applications. This board can be used for both step down and step up regulation, and supports a wide range of input voltages from 1.25V to 18V. It supports output voltages from 0.8V to 5.0V with a maximum output current of 500mA.

The MAX9660EVKIT contains a MAX9660 linear regulator, a wide input voltage range LCD display, an enable Manual-On/Auto-Off switch, rheostat potentiometry for setting the output voltage, an LED load indicator, and an adjustable voltage divider for generating the reference voltage.

The board includes an on-board voltage monitor chip to provide the output voltage feedback signal to the MAX9660. The board also includes a high-impedance analog input pin to connect a voltage divider circuit for setting the desired output voltage. Additionally, a shutdown, enable, and reset pins are also included for use in controlling the mode of operation.

For the output voltage setting, the board uses a high impedance analog input configured with a voltage divider circuit. The MAX9660EVKIT also includes a wide input voltage range LCD display to facilitate easy reading of the output voltage. A manual/auto switch is also provided to allow the user to select between the manual and auto modes.
