MAX9718AEUB+ is a class AB stereo audio amplifier IC from Maxim Integrated. This amplifier is one of the most reliable and efficient amplifiers available for audio applications it provides high power output with a small form factor. It is ideal for use in mobile phones, tablets, TVs, and other audio applications.The MAX9718AEUB+ is a high-efficiency and low-power linear amplifier that provides up to 1.5 W of continuous average output power into a 4 Ω load with no more than 1% THD+N from a 5 V supply. It can drive an 8 Ω load with more than 1.9 W of power. The device is designed to launch sound with a tailored frequency response, low noise and low distortion.
The device consists of two independent, power efficient, Class AB audio amplifiers. It is built using advanced switched-capacitor technology and features DirectPathTM inputs and outputs. The outputs are complementary and each has an input level control and differential inputs.
The MAX9718AEUB+ is designed for driving loudspeakers and headphones. It has a direct-connect speaker output and stereo headphone amplifier. The headphone amplifier has adjustable gain.
