Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits are designed to assist engineers in evaluating and demonstrating the features of analog and digital integrated circuits. The MAX98088EVKIT is suitable for those wanting to evaluate the features of the MAX98088, a 3.3V 8Channel High-Speed Line Driver designed for use in Automotive, Industrial, and Telecommunications Audio applications. It also assists in evaluating the analog performance of the device and helps to demonstrate the signal chain operation for various applications like Serial Audio Bus, TDM, or Mono Bridge.
The MAX98088EVKIT board provides digital control of the MAX98088, and the board contains circuitry to provide control of On-Chip Gain, High-pass filter, De-emphasis, and Mute for each channel. The on-board capabilities also include Speaker Headroom indication of each channel as well as a facility to easily measure the crossover distortion and dynamic range of the device. The evaluation board also includes a S/PDIF transmitter output.
The MAX98088EVKIT includes an Arduino-compatible debugging board that allows designers to program and control the board through the SPI-serial port. The debugging board also serves as a configuration terminal for setting parameters. The debug board can be connected to a PC through a USB cable, and the PC-hosted utility allows real-time monitoring of the board parameters and can be used to run automated tests.
