MB39C601PNF-G-JNEFE1 is a Pulse Width Modulation ((PWM)) LED Driver which belongs to the PMIC - LED Drivers category. The working principle of the MB39C601PNF-G-JNEFE1 can be split into three main steps.- Step 1: In Step 1, the output voltage is generated by an external resistor which is connected across the VDD pin and the FB pin. This output voltage will be compared with a reference voltage to regulate the output current. This voltage reference is generated by the Error Amplifier, which is connected to an external resistor across the REF pin and GND pin. The reference voltage will then be added to the output voltage to generate the Error Voltage.
- Step 2: In Step 2, the Error Amplifier will monitor the Error Voltage compared to the reference voltage and output a PWM signal. Depending on the set duty cycle and switching frequency, the PWM signal will then drive the LED Current. The LED current will also be monitored by the Error Amplifier and will be modified according to the PWM signal.
- Step 3: In the last Step, the Current Limiting circuit will control the LED current and voltage. This circuit is activated when the current in the LEDs exceeds the current limit set by the external resistor connected across the CL pin and the GND pin. The current limiting circuit will limit the current in the LEDs and maintains the voltage of the LEDs within the specified limit.
