The MC08CA060C-TF works on a principle of capacitive coupling, such that when the voltage applied across its terminals, current flows through it. As alternating current (AC) flows through it, its capacitance decreases, allowing more current to flow. This action creates a ‘Capacitor-Transistor’ (CT) effect that adjusts the DC current to a stable level.In a conventional capacitive coupling, two capacitors are insulated from each other by a thin dielectric material, such as air, mica or PTFE. Unlike air or mica dielectrics, PTFE dielectrics are more difficult to break down, and its dielectric losses is also much lower.
