The device is optimized for communication applications in harsh environments, such as industrial, aerospace, and automotive.The MC100EPT24DTR2 is capable of communicating data up to 100 Mbps over LVDS with a low power consumption of 2.5V and operation over a temperature range of -40° to +125°C. It is a high-speed logic-level translator designed to provide a reliable link between low-voltage, low-power LVDS systems and high-voltage, higher-power-consuming systems up to 5.5V.The device is ideal for applications requiring precise, high-speed communication in a low voltage environment such as automotive, avionics, industrial, and medical. The input pin receives the logic signals from a high-voltage and higher-power-consuming system in the form of TTL logic levels. The logic levels are then converted, or translated, to a low voltage differential signals (LVDS) compatible with the LVDS systems by the use of a comparator/buffer. The output pin then sends the LVDS signals from the Logic-Level Translator to the LVDS system. The device also features an adaptive offset cancellation circuit to remove the open-loop offset voltage of the LVDS circuitry and an internal threshold voltage voltage controlled output buffer to ensure fast, reliable transmission of the differential input signals. The device is ESD-protected to ensure a high level of protection against electrostatic discharges and offers non-locking/latching switching performance. The ESD protection is excellent and exceeds the IEC and JEDEC industry standards.The MC100EPT24DTR2 is designed to provide a reliable link between low-power and high-power systems while meeting the communication and power needs of today’s design requirements.
